Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are currently busy filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic love story, Love & War. The entire cast and crew have protected their appearances from the public while the filming is taking place in Mumbai’s Film City.
A media publication, however, caught a glimpse of never-before-seen photos of Ranbir and Alia’s from the sets on Wednesday.
Ranbir was seen wearing a white shirt, blue pants, and a blue tie in the photos, which fan clubs have subsequently posted on social media. The actor carried a moustache while his hair slicked back. According to reports, the Animal actor is playing an Air Force pilot in this historical drama, which accounted for his appearance in the viral photo.
Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, wore a white co-ord outfit that is reminiscent of the 1960s and sported a classic puff hairstyle. Her vintage inspired look drew particular attention from her fans and followers.

Many Reddit users reacted on the photos as they went viral. Many believed it was a planned move to leak these photos from the set to generate curiosity. One of the users wrote, “Nowadays every movie team follows this strategy of themselves leaking (uploading) the pics of cast to create hype for the movie.” Another user said, “Alia’s only purpose in life is to become fair complexioned than her previous appearance, because in acting she has already outed the likes of Morgan Freeman, AB, Ashutosh Rana etc.” The third user wrote, “I have a feeling, this is going to be Saawariya 2.0. Too much hype but end result won’t be able to live up to the expectations.” A fourth user commented, ” Looks like a vintage old world romance, love how again Alia will look like a complete misfit in this as well.”

Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir, and Alia feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Love & War. According to rumours, the movie was a replica of the classic Sangam, which starred Raj Kapoor, Vyjanthimala, and Rajendra Kumar. It was described as a love story set during wartime. Although Bhansali refuted the rumors, they were bolstered by the fact that part of the movie was shot at a Jodhpur air base. The two main characters in Sangam were pilots in the Indian Air Force. The release date of Love & War is set for March 20, 2026.
