Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s “Ranabaali” and the trade was keenly watching how the film would perform on its first Monday. The film has delivered a positive sign by avoiding a major drop in collections.
Generally, films witness a fall of around 50 per cent or more from Sunday to Monday. However, “Ranabaali” has reportedly registered a much smaller drop of around 20 to 25 per cent, indicating a relatively strong hold.
The film is expected to collect around Rs 6 crore gross in India on Monday. If it manages to maintain this momentum, the Dasara holiday on Tuesday could give its box office performance another boost.
A strong hold through the coming Sunday would be a welcome relief for Vijay Deverakonda, whose recent box office record has been a concern.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, “Ranabaali” is a patriotic drama set during British rule.
