Ramdev recommends pear juice as inexpensive remedy for chronic constipation

New Delhi: Renowned yoga guru and Patanjali Ayurveda founder Baba Ramdev has shared a simple and cost-effective solution to one of the most common digestive issues, constipation. Through his regular appearances on social media and various other public platforms, Ramdev continues to promote Ayurvedic remedies and yoga for a healthier lifestyle.

Speaking in a recent video, Ramdev emphasized that chronic constipation, if left untreated, can lead to severe health issues like piles and intestinal complications. He urged people not to ignore the condition and instead adopt healthy lifestyle changes including a fiber-rich diet, adequate hydration and daily physical activity.

Pear as a natural cure for constipation

Baba Ramdev, thereby, has strongly recommended pear as a natural cure for constipation. According to him, consuming a glass of fresh pear juice or eating the fruit regularly can help clear the bowels within half an hour to an hour. He has also, compared its effect to that of colon therapy due to its high fiber content.The yoga guru also highlighted the benefits of other fruits such as mango and guava, noting that they too can help relieve constipation when consumed regularly. However, he cautioned diabetics against eating mangoes due to their high sugar content.

According to Healthline, a medium-sized pear contains about 6 grams of dietary fiber, 1 gram of protein, and essential vitamins like vitamin C, K, and minerals like potassium and copper. The National Library of Medicine also supports the pear’s effectiveness in relieving constipation.

Ramdev’s emphasis on return to traditional healthcare
