The trailer of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s Ramayana: Part One – The Introduction was slated to release today (July 24) following its grand launch at the San Diego Comic-Con. Fans had been eagerly waiting to see what the team had in store for them. However, just hours before its release, the makers have decided to postpone it. The update was confirmed by producer Namit Malhotra in an official statement, which also revealed the reason behind the delay. The Ramayana team has partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the film’s global release and in light of this collaboration, they have announced that the trailer will now be launched at a later date.

producer Namit Malhotra’s statement read, “Today is a very special moment for our Ramayana. My dream of taking Ramayana to the world is now a reality with our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. In light of the above, we will be launching our trailer globally at a later date.”
“In over 100+ years of Indian cinema, this will become a moment of great pride where Ramayana will be shown to the entire world like any major global Hollywood film. This is special as it opens the door for people around the world to discover the richness of our culture and our stories with renewed pride and enthusiasm,” he added.
Malhotra also thanked all the fans and believers of for helping them make this milestone possible. Subtly reacting to the ongoing student protests across the country, he concluded by saying that the youth of the country were its future and urged everyone to do their best to protect that future.

Many said they had stayed up all night to catch the film’s trailer and questioned the marketing team for “killing the hype.” However, others said that they still believed in the makers’ vision and were eagerly waiting for the new release date.
