Ramayana, one of the most anticipated films of 2026, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, was scheduled to release its trailer today, July 24, 2026, raising the excitement level. However, the producer of the film, Namit Malhotra, last night announced on his social media that the trailer has been postponed to a yet-to-be-finalized date.
The postponement of the trailer release disappointed netizens, who expressed their views in the comments. However, with the trailer postponement news, the producer also announced the good news—collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment to take Ramayana to the world as a global distributor.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Namit, with “Om” in his caption, said, “TODAY IS A VERY SPECIAL MOMENT FOR OUR RAMAYANA. MY DREAM OF TAKING RAMAYANA TO THE WORLD IS NOW A REALITY WITH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT.”
He further announced, “IN LIGHT OF THE ABOVE, WE WILL BE LAUNCHING OUR TRAILER NOW GLOBALLY AT A LATER DATE.”
Opening up on the big collaboration, he said, “IN OVER 100 YEARS OF INDIAN CINEMA, THIS WILL BECOME A MOMENT OF GREAT PRIDE WHERE RAMAYANA WILL BE SHOWN TO THE ENTIRE WORLD LIKE ANY MAJOR GLOBAL HOLLYWOOD FILM.
THIS IS SPECIAL AS IT OPENS THE DOOR FOR PEOPLE OF THE WORLD TO DISCOVER THE RICHNESS OF OUR CULTURE AND OUR STORIES WITH RENEWED PRIDE AND ENTHUSIASM.”
