Ramayana – Ranbir Kapoor’s Film Records ₹26.65 Crore in Advance Bookings

Ramayana has begun attracting moviegoers in India and international markets ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on November 5. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has generated considerable interest with its trailer and music, while audiences are now waiting to watch the mythological epic on the big screen. According to figures reported by Film Discourse, advance bookings in India have reached ₹26.65 crore in gross collections, including blocked seats. Although domestic ticket sales have not yet translated into a particularly large advance total without blocked bookings, the coming days could significantly influence the final figures. The film’s performance across overseas markets is also drawing attention as its release approaches.

Ramayana Advance Booking Collection in India

According to the reported figures, Ramayana has collected ₹26.65 crore in gross advance bookings in India when blocked tickets are included. Without blocked seats, the gross collection stands at ₹14.83 crore, while the corresponding net collection is ₹12.54 crore. These figures represent advance sales rather than the film’s final box office earnings, which will become clearer after its theatrical release.

Film Discourse also reported that approximately 2.57 lakh tickets were sold across 179 Indian cities over the preceding three days. Delhi-NCR reportedly recorded the highest number of ticket sales, followed by Mumbai. These markets are important indicators of the film’s initial audience interest, although advance bookings alone cannot determine how well a movie will perform over its opening weekend.

India advance bookings Reported collection
Gross, including blocked seats ₹26.65 crore
Gross, excluding blocked seats ₹14.83 crore
Net, excluding blocked seats ₹12.54 crore

The distinction between blocked and sold tickets matters when interpreting advance-booking figures. Blocked seats may be reserved through specific arrangements and should not automatically be treated as equivalent to tickets purchased by individual moviegoers. As more tickets become available and additional bookings are recorded, the overall figures may change.

North America Leads Overseas Advance Sales

International markets have contributed a substantial share of the reported advance-booking total. North America, including the United States and Canada, has emerged as the strongest overseas territory in the available figures. Film Discourse reported collections of approximately $1.91 million, equivalent to around ₹18.14 crore, from this market. The reported ticket sales have reached 100,715.

The figures suggest that the film is attracting interest among audiences outside India before its domestic release. However, advance sales are only an early measure of audience demand. Actual box office performance will depend on factors such as attendance during opening shows, audience response, the number of screenings and ticket sales after release.

Ticket Sales in the United Kingdom and Australia

The United Kingdom and Ireland have also contributed to the film’s overseas advance bookings. According to the reported data, collections in these territories have reached approximately $268,800, or ₹2.56 crore, with 15,022 tickets sold.

In Australia, advance sales have reportedly generated around 248,300 Australian dollars, equivalent to approximately ₹1.66 crore. The film is also recording bookings in Germany and other international markets.

Across overseas territories, the reported advance-booking collection stands at approximately ₹24.54 crore, with 138,986 tickets sold. These totals provide an early picture of international demand, though the final figures may vary as the release date approaches and booking reports are updated.

Ranbir Kapoor and Yash Lead the Mythological Epic

Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, marking his portrayal of the revered character on screen. Yash plays Ravana and is also involved in producing the project alongside Namit Malhotra.

The film is among the major releases expected around the Diwali period, and its scale has made it a closely watched theatrical project. Reports have placed its budget at around ₹4,000 crore, although the precise production-cost breakdown and the scope covered by that estimate have not been independently established here.

With advance bookings underway in India and several overseas territories, attention is now turning to the final pre-release figures. The domestic opening, international attendance and audience response after the first screenings will offer a clearer indication of the film’s box office prospects. Until then, the current advance-booking numbers remain an early snapshot of interest rather than a prediction of its final earnings.
