Mother Janaki gave the responsibility of the entire family to mother Kaushalya. Mother Sumitra dedicated her sons Lakshman and Shatrughan to the service and protection of Sita ji. Mother Kaikeyi gifted a grand golden palace, which was known as Kanak Bhawan. In the end, everyone’s eyes were fixed on Shri Ram, what gift would he give to Sita ji? There was a smile on his face. Love and dedication were visible. He slowly lifted Sita ji’s veil. Then the Lord gave him such a promise which made Shri Ram ‘Maryada Purushottam’. The Lord said, Sita, from today onwards I promise that in this and in any other life I will not accept any woman other than you as my wife. I will observe the vow of one wife. No matter what the circumstances are.”
