At the same time Indra and Surya Dev were passing through the road. Both of them were fascinated by that beautiful woman.

Devraj Indra’s eyes fell on the hair of a beautiful woman and from there Bali was born. The Sun God’s eyes fell on the woman’s neck and from there Sugriva was born. After this incident, Bali was called the son of Devraj Indra and Sugriva was called the son of Sun God. Later the monkey king Riksharaj returned to his original form and raised both the brothers.

Shri Ram had killed Bali

Bali had immense power. Indra Dev also gave a gold necklace to Bali. Whereas, Sugriva was a symbol of morality, intelligence and piety. Both brothers resided on Rishyamuk mountain and established the kingdom of Kishkindha from here. Later Bali was killed by the hands of Lord Shri Ram. Lord Shri Ram had killed Bali by shooting an arrow from behind a tree.
