What are the ingredients required?
For dessert you need 250 ml fresh cream, ⅓ cup powdered sugar, peel of 1 orange, ¼ cup fresh orange juice (strained), 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Now know how to make this refreshing dessert.
Orange Posset Recipe
- First of all, cut the orange into two pieces from the middle and then scoop out the pulp with the help of a spoon so that the orange peel comes out in a bowl shape.
- Add powdered sugar in a saucepan and then add grated orange peel or zest to it and mix well by mashing it with hands.
- Now you have to add cream to sugar and also add vanilla essence. It has to be whisked well.
- Place the pan on medium flame and let the cream mixture boil on low flame while stirring continuously.

- After it starts boiling, let it boil for 2-3 minutes more, so that it gets a nice consistency. Due to this the aroma also gets observed well.
- After removing it from the flame, leave it aside for 1-2 minutes so that it cools down slightly.
- Now you have to add orange juice and lemon juice into it and stir slowly until it mixes well.
- When all the ingredients are mixed and you get a creamy texture, then strain it.
- You can set it by pouring it directly into the bowls or you can keep it in the remaining orange peel to set, which makes it taste even better while eating.
- Keep this dessert in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours (or overnight). Therefore, you can prepare it during the day and eat it in Iftar.

To garnish, you can add small orange slices and mint leaves, a little silver work, some light nuts like pistachio slivers.
