According to this, the Islamic year is considered to be of total 354 days. Whereas the Gregorian (English) calendar is based on solar calculations. Its duration is 365 days. This is the reason why the Islamic month starts about 10-12 days earlier every year.

This is why Ramadan will come twice in 2030. In the year 2030, the first Ramadan will start from 05 January and after that due to the Islamic calendar, the second Ramadan will start from 26 December 2030. In this way, Ramzan will fall twice in the year 2030. However, even before this the holy month of Ramzan has fallen twice in a year. The first time this happened was in 1997.

Due to this change in the Islamic calendar in the year 1997, the first month of Ramadan started on 10 January. Then the second month of Ramzan started from 31st December. Before that, the same situation had arisen in the year 1965 also. Ramzan fell twice this year. This feature of the Islamic calendar differentiates it from the Gregorian calendar.
