Ramadan 2026: From Arabian pudding to instant peda…these desserts and sweets which can be made in 20 minutes are best for Iftar.

Arabian pudding is also prepared quickly. For this boil 1 liter milk. Dissolve cornflour in some milk and add about half a spoon of it to boiling milk. Similarly, add 1 or 2 spoons of custard powder as per requirement. Add sugar or condensed milk and add vanilla essence for flavour. Cook it until it becomes thick like rabri. Cut the sides of the bread and place in a single layer in the container. Spread condensed milk and chopped nuts on top. Make two-three layers in the same manner. Garnish with rose petals. If you want, serve it immediately or keep it in the refrigerator to cool. (Image:shamna_delights)
To make instant coconut laddu, fry desiccated coconut with ghee on low flame, turn off the gas as soon as a slight aroma appears. Add condensed milk, milk powder and cardamom powder in a bowl and cook for some time. When the mixture starts leaving the pan, close the lid and add roasted desiccated coconut to it and then apply ghee on your hands and make laddus while it is still warm. Take whipping cream and condensed milk or sugar and beat well with a hand whisker or electric beater. Until it becomes fluffy and smooth. Then cut fruits like apple, both types of grapes, pomegranate, kiwi, strawberry, mango, banana etc. and mix them in it. If you want, you can serve it like this or you can keep it in the fridge to set. To further enhance the taste, you can also add mixed fruit essence or vanilla essence. You can make fruit custard for iftar. Its method is also simple. Just have to boil the milk. Add sugar and custard powder in it and cook till it thickens. Then cut fruits like grapes, apple, banana, pomegranate seeds and add it to it. Your fruit custard is ready. Let it cool and serve. (Image:chaspicekitchen)
Make Shahi Tukda for Iftar. For this, cut the bread into round, square or triangular shapes of your choice. After this, fry all the bread in ghee until it turns golden or shallow fry it. On the other side, keep the milk to boil. Add sugar as per requirement in it. Dissolve custard powder in 4-5 spoons of cold milk and add it to boiling milk. Due to this it becomes thick quickly. Place fried bread in a plate. Garnish with condensed milk, pistachio slivers, chopped almonds, cashew nuts and cardamom powder. You can also serve Shahi Tukda in a different way.
