Rama Ekadashi Fast 2025: The fast of Rama Ekadashi is considered very special. Every year, the fast of Rama Ekadashi is observed on the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. All the fasts of Ekadashi are dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the sustainer of the world. There are two Ekadashi fasts every month. In this, one Ekadashi fast is observed for Krishna and the other for Shukla Paksha. Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is known as Rama Ekadashi.
There is a religious belief that whoever worships Lord Vishnu with true devotion and fasts on this day, his life is filled with happiness. God’s blessings remain upon him. On this holy date, there is also a tradition of worshiping Lord Shiva, the god of gods, Mahadev. It is said that offering some special things to Shivalinga on this day provides relief from the troubles of life, so let us know about it.
Shami’s flowers
On the day of Rama Ekadashi, Shami flowers should be offered to Shivling. By doing this Lord Shiva is pleased. Also the seeker gets relief from diseases, defects and sorrows and sufferings of life.
Raw Rice and Black Sesame
On this auspicious day, raw rice should be mixed with some black sesame seeds and offered to Shivalinga. Then the sesame seeds found in the same rice should be donated to a needy person. By doing this one gets freedom from negative energy. Besides this, the person is also free from Shani Dosha.
cow ghee
On the day of Rama Ekadashi, Shivalinga should be anointed with pure cow’s ghee. There is a religious belief that doing this provides relief from diseases.
Belpatra and honey
Lord Shiva is very fond of Belpatra. It should be offered to Shivalinga on the day of Rama Ekadashi. By doing this all sins are destroyed. While offering water to Shivalinga, a little honey should be applied on the Bel leaf and offered. This provides health.
