Rama Ekadashi Fast 2025: The fast of Rama Ekadashi is very sacred. The fast of Rama Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu. The Ekadashi which falls in the Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is called Rama Ekadashi. On this day devotees ritually worship Lord Vishnu and fast. There is a religious belief that whoever worships Lord Vishnu with true devotion and fast on this day, his life remains happy.
This year the fast of Rama Ekadashi is going to be observed on 17th October. On the day of Rama Ekadashi, along with fasting and worshiping Lord Vishnu, some special measures are also taken. According to beliefs, by worshiping Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu on this day and lighting lamps at some special places, there is never any shortage of money and grains.
Light a lamp near Tulsi
Tulsi Mata has special significance in Hindu religion. Tulsi is considered to be the form of Mother Lakshmi. Mother Lakshmi also resides in Tulsi. In such a situation, on the day of Rama Ekadashi, a ghee lamp must be lit near the Tulsi plant. Then Tulsi Chalisa should be read. Tulsi should be circumambulated seven times. Those who do this, wealth and prosperity remain in their homes.
Light a lamp in the kitchen
On the day of Rama Ekadashi, a lamp must be lit in the kitchen also. By doing this there is never any shortage of food and money in the house. The family remains prosperous.
