₹9 crore check bounce case and legal case
Rajpal Yadav is in the news these days regarding the matter related to check bounce and loan of ₹9 crore. This matter is related to the loan of his directorial debut film Ata Pata Lapata in the year 2010. It was told that many post-dated checks given to repay the loan had bounced. After this, in the beginning of February 2026, he was ordered to surrender in Tihar Jail. As per the court order, he deposited some part of the amount and complied with the bail conditions. After this, on February 17, he got interim bail from Delhi High Court. At present, his sentence has been suspended till March 18 till further hearing.
