Gorakhpur BJP Leader Murder Case Update: The sensational murder that took place on the morning of March 17 in Bargadwa area of Gorakhpur shook the entire city. Former councilor representative and BJP leader Rajkumar Chauhan was shot and stabbed to death. Initially this matter seemed like political enmity or a big conspiracy, but now the truth that has come out in the police investigation has given a completely different turn to the story. District Magistrate Deepak Meena and SSP Dr. Kaustubh told in the press conference that there was personal rivalry behind this murder, and the perpetrators of it turned out to be two dumper drivers.
Enmity with nephew, vented anger on uncle
According to the police, the accused confessed during interrogation that their real enmity was against Nitish, the nephew of the deceased. There was tension between the two for the last four months. About two months ago, the nephew had also beaten the accused Raj Chauhan alias Nirahua. The special thing in the case was that Rajkumar Chauhan used to defend his nephew every time. This thing hurt the accused. He believed that the nephew exercises authority with the help of his uncle. In this anger he targeted his uncle.

This is how the entire murder conspiracy was hatched.
The accused told the police that they had already planned the murder. On the morning of March 17, both the accused sat hiding behind a tree near the spot. As soon as Rajkumar Chauhan went out for a walk as usual, one of the accused opened fire on him. Even after being shot, both of them did not stop and attacked them with knives and killed them.
Whole secret revealed through CCTV and surveillance
CCTV footage and surveillance played an important role in solving this case. The police scanned the footage of about 8 cameras installed around the incident spot, in which two suspects were seen. After this, after technical investigation and confirmation from other sources, the police detained both the accused. During interrogation he confessed to his crime. However, the weapons used in the murder have not been recovered yet.
Let us tell you, the two main accused arrested by the police have been identified as Raj Chauhan alias Nirahua and Vipin Yadav, residents of Bargadwa. Both are dumper drivers and live in the area.

Last rites took place late at night, family members agreed after persuasion of leaders
The body of deceased Rajkumar Chauhan reached home after post-mortem at around 5 pm. After this the family members were adamant on some demands. Rajya Sabha MP Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal and Cabinet Minister Dara Singh Chauhan reached the spot to handle the situation.
After the persuasion of both the leaders, the family agreed to the last rites. Rajkumar Chauhan was cremated late at night at the ghat near Moharipur.
Rajkumar Chauhan was preparing for 2027 elections
Rajkumar Chauhan belonged to the OBC community and was considered a good influence in the area. According to the information, he was preparing to contest the 2027 assembly elections and was also hoping for a ticket from BJP. His murder has left a huge void not only in the family but also in local politics.
Police investigation continues, eye on remaining accused also
In this case, the police had already registered a case against 8 named people, out of which 7 have been detained and interrogated. At present, the police is also investigating the entire network and the role of other possible accused.
