New Delhi: The Amer Police have arrested 3 people in connection with a molestation case involving a foreign tourist in Jaipur. Apart from this, they have detained a minor accused in the case. The men used to molest and harass foreigners at popular tourist sites in the state capital, said officials.

The Amer Police assured that they are fully vigilant and alert as regards the safety and security of both foreign and locals tourists in Jaipur. DCP North, Karan Sharma said that on April 7,2026, a Japanese tourist, who was visiting Amer Palace and Jaigarh Fort reported that she had been molested by 3 to 4 youths on April 5, 2026.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Taking the matter seriously, a team was formed under Additional SP Neeraj Kumar Pathak. They scanned footage from approximately 250 to 300 CCTV cameras at Amer Palace, Jaigarh Fort and surrounding areas. Based on the footage and vehicle numbers the first accused, Amumuddin alias Amir was arrested.
After the arrest of the youth, the police started questioning him. Based on this questioning and extensive searches, they also managed to arrest 2 others involved in the case. They were identified as Sahil Khan and Arshad Khan. Arshad Khan, is a resident of Babu Ka Tibba, Chaukri Huzuri, said officials.
The case remains under active investigation. The officials said that the security of tourists at the popular spots in the city is their main priority. They would further strengthen security across the city, to prevent any such incidents in future.
