Rajasthan MLA Unique Protest: Hanumangarh Power Protest caught the attention of the entire Rajasthan on Wednesday, when thousands of people led by Independent MLA Ganesh Raj Bansal took to the streets against the disability of the electricity department. It was not a common performance-it was “slippers rally”, where the tricolor, the slippers were waving instead of the tricolor in the hands of the people.
Why the slippers rally was taken out?
The long -standing power crisis in Hanumangarh has made people difficult to live. Troubled by the power cuts of hours between humidity and heat, the public chose a unique way of expressing their resentment. MLA Bansal said, “The electricity department is not ready to listen to the suffering of the public, so we had to adopt this symbol of protest.”

How did the rally start?
The rally, which started from Bharat Mata Chowk in the city, reached the office of the electricity department located a kilometer away. People of all ages were involved in the crowd – slippers in the hands, and angry slogans. The organizers also distributed slippers to those who could not bring additional slippers.

Slippers filled in sacks, but…
A unique view was seen in the rally – some people took the slippers not for protest, but for their personal use. In the mobile footage, a man would be taken to five new pair slippers and some were seen filling in sacks.

When the slippers rained at the gate
When the police stopped the protesters from entering the electricity department office, an angry mob threw slippers at the gate. The atmosphere was so hot that MLA Bansal warned – “Next time these slippers will be thrown directly on the head of the electricity department.”
Last controversy and political rhetoric
This incident is not new – After a major technical fault on August 8, the power crisis had created a dispute. BJP leader Amit Sahi described such protest as unacceptable and said to find a solution from the conversation.
