In this sequence, on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going to provide huge financial relief to farmers and thousands of families associated with the agricultural system. In the program organized at 5 Kalidas Marg, the official residence of the Chief Minister, at 10 am, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme and life insurance assistance for Aapda Mitras will be distributed. This program will not be limited to just financial assistance, but many important foundation stones will also be laid towards strengthening the agricultural infrastructure in the state.
Compensation of Rs 285 crore to 2.51 lakh farmers
According to Agriculture Director Dr. Pankaj Tripathi, under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Kharif 2025), a total compensation amount of Rs 285 crore will be transferred directly into the accounts of 2.51 lakh farmers. The objective of crop insurance scheme is to provide financial security to farmers in case of natural disaster, drought, flood or other adverse circumstances. This relief amount will prove to be a great support for the farmers after the losses incurred in the Kharif season.

Assistance of Rs 175 crore to 3500 families affected by the accident
Under the Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme, an assistance amount of Rs 175 crore will be provided to 3500 beneficiary families. This scheme is for those families who have lost their member or been seriously injured in an accident during agricultural work. According to experts, such safety net schemes play an important role in maintaining social stability in the rural economy.
Life insurance cover for disaster friends
‘Aapda Mitras’ active in disaster management will also be at the center of this program. They will be provided the benefit of life insurance. Providing institutional security to these volunteers who take risks during disasters is being considered a sign of priority of the state government.
Strengthening agricultural infrastructure in four districts
During the program, foundation stones of Deputy Agriculture Director offices and soil testing laboratories will be laid in Baghpat, Shamli, Kasganj and Bhadohi. Soil testing laboratories will provide farmers with accurate information about the fertility and nutrients of their land, which will make balanced use of fertilizers possible and reduce costs. Agricultural experts believe that the availability of such laboratories at the local level improves both production efficiency and quality.
Jhansi and Lucknow will also get a new gift
The foundation stone of a 50-bed hostel building will be laid in Mauranipur, Jhansi, which will provide facilities to the students associated with agricultural education and training. Also, the foundation stone of Smart Agriculture Bureau Studio unit will be laid in Lucknow. This unit will play an important role in providing information to farmers through modern technology. Its main objective will be to provide accurate information about weather, market prices and government schemes through digital mediums.
Who will be present in the program
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh will also be present on this occasion. Senior officials of the administrative and agriculture departments will also participate in the program.
According to analysts, this event sends messages on two levels, first, immediate economic relief; And second, efforts to strengthen long-term agricultural structures. On one hand, direct assistance of more than Rs 460 crore will provide economic support to farmers and affected families, on the other hand, projects like laboratories, offices and digital studios are being considered as steps towards technologically empowering the agriculture sector.
