Uttarakhand Flood Relief Operations: Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami visited flood affected areas in Luxor of Haridwar and met the victims. He has given instructions to ensure relief, rehabilitation, food, housing, health facilities.

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Uttarakhand Flood: Rain in the country has wreaked havoc at this time. Keeping in view the heavy rains and natural disaster in Uttarakhand too, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the Luxor disaster affected areas of Haridwar district today. Despite the difficult situations, the Chief Minister conducted terrestrial inspection of rural and submerged areas through the tractor and interacted with the affected families and inquired about their problems. The Chief Minister assured the affected families that the state government is standing with them for all possible help and there will be no shortage in relief work.

Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami instructed the district administration and disaster management officers present on the spot to speed up relief and rehabilitation works. He said that the safety of the affected families, residence, food and health facilities should be made. He clarified that no negligence in relief work would be accepted. Keeping his point, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami said, “The state government stands with every affected citizen in this hour of crisis. Rescue and relief operations will be given priority and all possible assistance will be provided to the affected families.” MLA Mr. Pradeep Batra, District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police Haridwar and other officers and local people were present on the occasion.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister took stock of waterlogging, damaged roads, broken bridges and houses surrounded by water. He instructed the officials that:

• There should be adequate arrangements for relief camps, in which facilities for food, water, medicines and cleanliness are available.

• Families who need to be taken to a safe place should be transferred immediately.

• The compensation process should be started soon by quick assessment of crop damage done to farmers.

• Medical facilities should be ensured by setting up health camps as required.
