Heavy Rain in Udaipur: The car of five youths fell into a swollen drain due to heavy rains in Kherwara area of Udaipur district. Two youths escaped by breaking the glass, but three died in a strong current. The administration has appealed for vigilance, a rescue in the area overnight.

Alam is that the drains and rivers flowing in the hilly areas have now taken dangerous forms. Due to which accidents are happening and people are losing their lives. Three friends died after a car collapsed in a swollen drain in Kherwara police station area late on Monday night, while two people somehow managed to break the window glass and get out.
Took a U-turn and directly death
This painful accident occurred near Lakoda village at around 10.30 pm on Monday night. Five friends were riding in the car. On the way, the driver’s balance deteriorated at a slope and U-turn turn. The flow of a drain filled with strong rain was so fast that the car got into the water directly. There was chaos after the incident. The villagers immediately informed the police.
Udaipur SDRF kept doing rescue all night
- Among the five youths trapped in the car, Praveen Meena and Laxman Meena showed courage. He broke the glass and somehow came out and reached the shore. Both immediately reported in the village for help. But Naresh Meena, Dhruv Patel and Luv Patel were stuck in the strong current. By the time the rescue team reached the spot, his breath had stopped.
- On the information, the team of Civil Defense Department and SDRF reached the spot. The dark and strong flow of the night became a hindrance in the rescue work, but after about an hour of hard work, the car was taken out with the help of a crane. Two bodies were recovered and handed over to the police, while the search for the third body was resumed on Tuesday morning.
- After the accident, the police and administration have appealed to the people to avoid crossing the swollen drains during heavy rains. In hilly areas like Kherwara, it is advisable to drive a vehicle carefully on slopes and turns.
