IMD Rain Alert: In many parts of the country, the situation is serious due to heavy rains, floods and landslides at this time. In such a situation, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a new alert regarding rain in many states.

Punjab Floods: Many states of the country are currently struggling with bad weather, strong rains, floods and landslides. So far 123 people have lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir. More than 24 people have died in Haryana and thousands of acres of crop have been ruined. Monsoon rains in North India have caused havoc. Punjab is the most affected by floods, while in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan, the situation is very bad. On the other hand, the continuous rains in Delhi-NCR have increased the problems of the people.

Punjab is facing severe flood

IMD Rain Alert: Punjab is currently facing severe floods. Many rivers are in spate in Punjab, due to which the situation has become very serious. According to the information, so far 46 people have died. 1.75 lakh hectares of standing crop is completely ruined. Things have deteriorated in 23 districts here. About 2 thousand villages have been submerged in flood waters and more than 3.87 lakh people have been affected. Thousands of houses, people’s goods and livestock have been washed away in water. Relief and rescue operations continue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit flood affected areas on 9 September. This tragedy is being described as the biggest flood disaster in the state.

Fear of heavy rains in these states

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a new alert regarding rain in many states. According to the department, today the weather will be normal in most districts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and people will get relief from rain.

There is a possibility of heavy rains in Gujarat, eastern Rajasthan and southwest Rajasthan on 7 September.

Uttarakhand may receive heavy rains on 6 and 7 September.

Himachal Pradesh will rain on 8 and 9 September.

Heavy rains are estimated in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi from 8 to 10 September.

There is a possibility of rain in Punjab on 10 September and in eastern Uttar Pradesh on 10-11 September.

Heavy rains may occur in Konkan and Goa, Central Maharashtra on 7 September and the state of Gujarat on 8 September.
