Jagran Correspondent, Samastipur: The railways have decided to extend the operation of several special trains amid a surge in passengers on several routes.
The authority, while providing details, stated that these services will provide an additional travel option to the passengers of several states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. The railways have advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
Train Services Extended
As per the railways, train number 04014 Anand Vihar-Laukaha Bazaar Special will continue to operate every Monday and Thursday till August 13. It further stated that train number 04013 Laukha Bazaar-Anand Vihar Special will run every Tuesday and Friday till August 18. The special train will pass through several stations, including Jhanjharpur, Sakri, Sitamarhi, Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, and Gorakhpur.
The authority stated that train number 05506 Saharsa-Purnia Court Special will run every Friday and Sunday till July 31, and the 05505 Purnia Court-Saharsa Special will run every Monday and Wednesday till August 3. Apart from this, train numbers 05543 Raxaul-Narkatiyaganj Special and 05544 Narkatiyaganj-Raxaul Special will run every Thursday and Saturday till September 26.
Advisory For Passengers
The railways, upon addressing the demands from the passengers, also announced the operation of the 09447 Ahmedabad-Patna Special and the return 09448 Patna-Ahmedabad Special on July 24. However, it urged the passengers to confirm train timings and operation information before travelling to avoid inconveniences.
Earlier on July 15, the railway decided to extend the Mau-Kolkata special train’s service period. As per the North Eastern Railway, train numbers 05096/05095, the Mau-Kolkata-Mau special train, will run for 10 additional trips, extending its scheduled service period.
As per the railway, train number 05096, the Mau-Kolkata special train, will operate every Wednesday between July 22 and September 23. The officials, while providing details, stated that the special train will depart from Mau Junction at 1:20 pm and reach Chhapra Junction at 5:10 pm via stations, including Siwan and Ekma.
