Railway News: Special Trains To Run Between Patna And Delhi From August 8

Railway News:  With the aim of ensuring the convenience of passengers during the festive seasons, the Indian Railways has announced to operate daily special trains from Patna to Delhi. Train number 04089/04089 will run between Patna and Anand Vihar Railway from August 8 to November 20 via Chhapra, Patliputra, Varanasi and Prayagraj. The train will comprise sleeper and AC coaches. The timetable and route chart have been released by the railway board.

Patna-Anand Vihar-Patna Special Train: Check Route, Timings

Patna-Anand Vihar Special will depart from Patna Junction daily at 6:20 PM. It will reach Anand Vihar at 2:50 PM the next day, after stopping at Pataliputra, Chhapra, Suremanpur, Sahatwar, Ballia, Ghazipur City, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Kanpur Central. The special train will make 105 trains between August 9 to November 21.

In its return journey, Anand Vihar-Patna Special will depart from Anand Vihar daily at 2:25 PM. It will reach Patna Junction at 11:00 AM on the next day, via Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Sahatwar, Suremanpur, Chhapra and Pataliputra. The train will run daily from Anand Vihar to Patna between August 8 to November 20.

For the convenience of passengers, the train will have a total of 22 coaches, including one second-class cum third AC coach, one second class AC coach, two third AC coaches, 12 sleeper coaches, four general class coaches and two SLR coaches.

In view of the increasing number of passengers during the festive season, the Railways has implemented a crowd control plan at 73 major stations of the country, including Patna Junction. According to the plan, only passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the platform and passengers with waiting tickets will have to wait outside the platform until the train arrives. A senior officer will be posted to oversee the arrangements at the stations.
