Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Maneka Gandhi has also questioned this decision of the Supreme Court. Maneka Gandhi said that there are about three lakh stray dogs in Delhi. All these dogs have to be caught and sent to the shelter home. The Delhi government will have to build 1,000 to 2,000 shelter homes to remove these dogs from the roads, as not much dogs cannot be kept in one place. For this, land will be needed first.
Maneka Gandhi said that about 4-5 crore rupees will be spent on this work. In every shelter home, caretaker, cooking, feeder and watchman will also have to be arranged
