Rahul Gandhi created controversy by claiming control of 10% people in the army. He said 90% of the population is under-represented. BJP leaders, especially Giriraj Singh, reacted sharply to this statement and accused him of breaking the country.
Just before the voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s statement related to reservation in the Army has created a big controversy in the political circles. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have become aggressive on this statement, and Union Minister Giriraj Singh has even asked Rahul Gandhi’s caste.
Giriraj Singh’s sharp attack: ‘Lies, illusions and conspiracy to break the country’
Union Minister Giriraj Singh made a direct attack on Rahul Gandhi, calling him a ‘spreader of lies’ and a ‘breaker of the country’. Giriraj Singh gave a strong reaction to Rahul Gandhi’s claim that the Indian Army is under the control of 10 percent of the people of the country.
He said, “They tell nothing but lies. They are saying that 10% people rule in the army. The people of the country also want to know what is the caste of Rahul Gandhi. Know it once, because you have become a supporter of caste. Are you a Hindu or a Muslim?”
Giriraj Singh did not stop here. He accused Rahul Gandhi of abusing the bravery of the army and even asked whether Rahul Gandhi stood in support of Pakistan. He asked, “Will you induct Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas into the army?” Expressing grief, Giriraj Singh said that a poor son joins the army and Rahul Gandhi will not know this pain.
He further said that Rahul Gandhi either wants to break the country or is crazy, because he has no information or evidence, he only spreads confusion. He also took a dig at the demand for the post of Deputy CM within the Grand Alliance and said that if the Muslim community is demanding this post, then you can give it or not, but do not blame the country for it.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy also became an attacker
Apart from Giriraj Singh, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy also condemned Rahul Gandhi’s statement. Expressing surprise, he said what has happened to Rahul Gandhi that elections are being held in Bihar and he is giving statements regarding Haryana.
Rudy said, “The kind of statements he is making, I think his faith in democracy and the Constitution is waning. There are clear signs of defeat in Bihar in the coming days.”
What was the controversial statement of Rahul Gandhi?
In fact, during a rally on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi had claimed that 10 percent of the people of the country control the corporate, bureaucracy and judiciary including the Indian Army. He had said that all the money of the banks goes to him and he also has influence over most of the posts in the bureaucracy. Rahul said that 90 per cent of the country’s population, including Dalits, Mahadalits, backward classes and minorities, is under-represented in key sectors.
