On Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of “vote theft”, Home Minister Amit Shah asked why he does not complain to the Election Commission. Shah said, even if Rahul travels from Bihar to Italy, the attack against infiltrators will continue.
Amit Shah on Rahul Gandhi Vote Stealing Allegations: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched a direct attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of “vote theft”, claiming that he was talking about the issue because the names of infiltrators have been removed from the voter list. Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’, Shah said, the opposition leader in the Lok Sabha can undertake a journey from Bihar to Italy, but the central government will not budge.
..So why doesn’t Rahul Gandhi complain to the Election Commission?
Addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Arwal, Amit Shah said, “Rahul Gandhi is talking about vote theft because the names of infiltrators have been removed from the voter list. He can travel from Bihar to Italy, but we will not allow infiltrators to stay here.” Shah also expressed displeasure over Rahul Gandhi’s allegations and asked, “If he feels ‘vote theft’ is taking place, why doesn’t he file a formal complaint with the Election Commission?”
What are Rahul Gandhi’s claims regarding vote theft?
Rahul Gandhi has alleged several times during the Bihar Assembly elections that votes are being “stolen” to help the BJP win many elections. Recently he alleged “duplicate, fake and bulk” voting in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, which the BJP won. While making these claims, Rahul Gandhi also showed the photograph of a Brazilian model, who he claimed was wrongly included in the Haryana voter list 22 times under the names Seema, Sweety and others. Not only this, Rahul Gandhi also accused the Election Commission of India of “stealing votes at the behest of the ruling BJP”.
It is necessary to save Bihar from leftist extremism
Referring to the CPI(ML) Liberation, which has formed an alliance with the India Bloc, the Home Minister said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have been able to eliminate the threat of Naxalism. But if these red flag men are given even the slightest chance, the state will again fall into the grip of Left Wing Extremism, which Bihar has faced in the past.”
