Haryana IPS Y Puran Suicide Controversy: Politics is heated in the state regarding the suicide of Haryana ADGP and senior IPS officer Y Puran Kumar. Today, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has reached Chandigarh to meet the family of the victim of IPS.
IPS Y Puran Kumar Suicide Case: Senior IPS officer of Haryana Y. Today is the seventh day of Puran Kumar’s suicide. But the last rites have not been performed yet. Leaders from Delhi and other states are reaching to meet the victim’s family and the late officer’s IAS wife. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached to meet the family of IPS on Tuesday morning. During this, he heard the pain of the daughters of the late officer and fiercely attacked the Naib Singh Saini government of Haryana. He said that the Haryana government should stop the drama, accept the demand of the family and allow the last rites to take place.

Rahul Gandhi said big things about IPS
- After meeting the victim’s family, Rahul Gandhi said – Many officers were working to end the career of Y Puran Kumar ji and to humiliate him. Such incidents are sending a wrong message to crores of Dalit brothers and sisters of the country that no matter how successful or capable you are, if you are a Dalit, you can be suppressed, crushed and thrown away.
- Rahul Gandhi said- Y Puran Kumar ji’s wife is a serving officer and we all know how pressure can be put on her. Therefore, action should be taken in this matter as soon as possible, action should be taken against the guilty officers and they should be arrested.
- The Chief Minister of Haryana has promised a fair investigation and action to the family of Y Puran Kumar, but that promise is not being fulfilled. Due to this, the pressure on the family as well as Puran ji’s daughters is increasing.
- IPS officer Y Puran Kumar was facing institutional discrimination for many years. Many officers were working to end the career of Y Puran Kumar ji and to humiliate him. This is not just a family matter.
- Such incidents are sending a wrong message to crores of Dalit brothers and sisters of the country that no matter how successful or capable you are, if you are a Dalit, you can be suppressed, crushed and thrown away. We do not accept this.
- As the leader of the opposition, I have a direct message to the Prime Minister of the country and the Chief Minister of Haryana to fulfill the promise you have made to the two daughters of Puran Kumar ji. Let his father’s last rites take place and stop this drama. You take action against the guilty officers and remove the pressure being put on this family.
