Raeeszada from Lucknow drives BMW with fake ‘MLA’ sticker, hooter; cops vehicle seized – WATCH VIDEO

A BMW cruising through Lucknow with a fake ‘MLA’ sticker and an illegal red hooter ran into strict policing when SHO Sudhir Awasthi intercepted the car late at night in the city’s Gomti Nagar Extension. Known for his zero-tolerance approach, the SHO refused to accept the young driver’s excuses and ordered the luxury vehicle to be seized on the spot.

When stopped, the young driver attempted to justify the misuse of VIP symbols by claiming he had purchased the second-hand BMW with the hooter and sticker already installed.

“Sir, when I bought the car, the hooter was already there. ‘MLA’ was already written too,” he told SHO Awasthi.

The officer remained unconvinced. “Then why didn’t you remove it?” he asked, pointing out the seriousness of falsely projecting political authority.

The driver pleaded for forgiveness, saying, “Sir, it was a mistake. Please forgive me.”

But SHO Awasthi said, “For such a mistake, there’s the police. The police will teach you not to make the mistake again,” he said before instructing his team, “Seize their car.”

A video of the incident went viral on social media, garnering over 82,000 views and triggering discussion online. Many users praised the SHO’s swift and uncompromising response.

“These are the real cops! A branded car, MLA sticker, siren bluster — all deflated in 2 seconds,” one user wrote.

Another praised the officer, saying, “The country needs more officers like you.”

However, some pointed out that such displays of entitlement are not uncommon in Uttar Pradesh. “In UP, everyone has their own MLA uncle. India is a status-driven society. Status means how much one can show off and intimidate others,” a user commented.

Another noted the widespread misuse of sirens, “People are putting hooters on everything from Boleros to Altos. The bro’s riding a second-hand car, tightening up his swagger. Only e-rickshaws and tempos are left without hooters.”
