Raashii Khanna is a pan-Indian actress who has strongly established herself in Hindi cinema, Tamil and Telugu cinema. Being a pan-Indian actress comes with its own set of linguistic challenges which comes with getting the accents right, dialect and pronunciation right. In a recently held ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, Raashii Khanna opened up about preparing for films in different languages, describing it as a ‘lifelong exam’!
“It honestly feels like I am in a lifelong exam that just doesn’t end. There’s always another language, another accent, another pronunciation to get right. And unfortunately, there’s no graduation day,” she says.
With each release, Raashii Khanna has paved her way through linguistic challenges but has also brought an incredible sense of believability to it. And she’s keen on maintaining this upward graph.
On the work front, Raashii is currently filming the second season of Raj & DK’s Farzi, one of the most anticipated series that sees her alongside Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi among others. She is back on duty as RBI Officer Megha Vyas, buckling up to fuel the plot with intrigue and thrill. In addition to Farzi 2, Khanna will also be seen alongside the legendary Rajinikanth in the upcoming Tamil-language action-thriller film, Dharman. She also has an untitled film with Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee in the pipeline.
