New York: The question-answer of an Indian-origin student of Mississippi University to US Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance has gone viral on social media. This student asked JD Vance this question during a program of Turning Point USA. The student questioned the Trump administration’s strict immigration policies and Vance’s religious comments.
The student said, ‘You say there are too many immigrants here. When did you decide on this number? You sold us a dream, incited us to spend our youth and money in this country. You are not doing us any favors, we have worked hard and this is how we live in America.
The student further asked, ‘Then how can you now, as the Vice President, say that there are too many immigrants in America and they will be thrown out?’ The student also asked where is the justice in throwing out those who have come here legally by paying money. This question is getting a lot of praise on social media. Many people have called it ‘a question that will shake the American Vice President’.
Vance made his stance clear
On the question of the Indian origin student, Vance replied while sticking to his stand. The vice presidential candidate said, ‘If one, ten or a hundred people come legally and contribute to America, it does not mean that we are forced to bring one million, one crore or ten crore people in the future.’ JD Vance also made it clear that ‘as the US Vice President, I do not have to look after the interests of the whole world, but only protect the interests of the American people.’

While many praised the student’s sharp questions, pro-Trump accounts attacked her by calling her a ‘crazy Hindu H-1B infiltrator’. This video has gone viral at a time when strict immigration policies like increasing the H-1B visa fee to $1 lakh and imposing restrictions on work permits are being implemented in America.
