This video faced a lot of hatred, after which the person removed his video from the social media account, but by then the rest of the people had shared this. Realizing the seriousness of the case, Kenya has started an investigation against the accused person on charges of drinking wild animals.
Actually the elephant video was shared by a tourist group named @skydive_kenya. In the video that went viral, it is clearly visible that a man is drinking beer in front of an African elephant. In such a situation, the elephant smells the fragrance of the beer towards the can of beer. In such a situation, instead of keeping the beer away from it, the man puts it in the elephant’s trunk.
On 29 July, the Wildlife Sanctuary shared a statement on its Facebook page. The statement said that the tourist gave a beer to an elephant named Bup, who has been living in All Jogi for years, and such actions have been unacceptable, dangerous and against the values of the institution. He further said that they take the matter seriously and will ensure the good and safety of animals. According to the BBC report, the officials of Jogi Conservancy said that this should never have happened in a protected forest area, so action will be taken.
The Wildlife Department continues to warns that after tasting human food, if animals do not get that food, they can be aggressive. Therefore, forest departments around the world recommend tourists not to give food to wild animals. But when tourists ignore these warnings, they do cruelty with animals.
