According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Paush month will start from 07:51 AM on Tuesday, 30 December and will continue till 05 AM on Wednesday, 31 December. According to Ujjain’s Astrologer Pt. Praveen Dwivedi, since Ekadashi Tithi will remain for the whole day on 30th December, hence Putrada Ekadashi fast will be observed on the same day. – On Tuesday morning, 30th December, after taking bath etc., take a resolution of fasting and worship with water, rice and flowers in hand. Do not sleep at night, sing hymns of God or chant mantras. The next day i.e. on the morning of 31st December, feed the Brahmins and send them off by giving them donations. After this, eat food yourself. – Such a person observes the fast of Putrada Ekadashi with full rituals, he gets every kind of happiness in life and gets a worthy child.
