Russian President Putin has come to Delhi on 4 December. PM Modi himself arrived to receive him. Many major agreements are expected between the two countries, including S-400 missile, increasing trade, pharma, automobile, shipping, healthcare.
Vladimir Putin India Visit: Russian President Vladimir Putin has reached Delhi. Breaking protocol, PM Modi himself reached Palam Airport and received Putin. During this, Putin first hugged Modi as soon as he got off the plane. A red carpet was laid to welcome the Russian President. Let us tell you that before this, for the last time, PM Modi broke the protocol and reached the airport to receive Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar. After receiving Putin, Narendra Modi left with him in a white colored car towards the Prime Minister’s official residence, Lok Kalyan Marg. Modi will also host a private dinner in his honor on Thursday.

Many big agreements can be made between India and Russia
Many important agreements can be signed between the two countries during Putin’s visit to India. Let us know about some big deals which are expected to happen.
- A deal can also be made to purchase S-400 missile system and its advanced version S-500. Let us tell you that during Operation Sindoor in May 2025 this year, S-400 had shot down many Pakistani jets.
- President Putin is visiting with a large number of business representatives. In such a situation, India is hoping to reduce the trade deficit with Russia.
- Many methods are being worked on to increase Indian exports to Russia. These include exports in the fields of pharmaceuticals, automobiles, marine products and agricultural products.
- Indian businesses and products will get a bigger market and this will not only increase jobs but will also benefit the welfare of our farmers.
- Many agreements and MoUs are expected in the fields of shipping, healthcare, fertilizers, connectivity.
- More cooperation can also be seen in the fields of people-to-people relations, mobility partnerships, culture and scientific cooperation.

Russian Defense Minister receives Guard of Honor
Earlier on Thursday, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov was given a guard of honor at the Manekshaw Centre. Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Russian Defense Minister Andrei laid wreaths at the National War Memorial.
