Putin India Visit: Country’s capital on high alert, snipers-security forces deployed at every nook and corner

There is high alert in Delhi due to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India. 5,000 policemen, SWAT teams and anti-drone systems have been deployed for security. Putin will meet PM Modi and discuss issues like defense and trade.

New Delhi: High alert has been declared in the country’s capital. SWAT teams and sniper security forces have been deployed. Tight security arrangements have been made with additional police force. Every vehicle is being checked and security forces are keeping a close watch at every nook and corner. The main reason for this is Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India. Vladimir Putin, who is coming to New Delhi, will meet many big leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Therefore, strict security arrangements have been made.

Two day visit, high alert in Delhi

Vladimir Putin will land in Delhi today (04 December) evening. Due to his two-day visit, high alert has been declared in Delhi for two days. From the time Putin leaves Russia till he lands back in Russia, every moment will be under the surveillance of security forces. A senior police officer said that several security agencies will review every minute.

Indian security forces and Putin’s security forces will be in touch with each other every minute. 5,000 policemen have been deployed. Putin’s travel routes and traffic are being monitored. Map of all routes has been prepared. Security forces have already been deployed on VVIP movement routes. Many layers of security have been created. Anti-drone system has been installed. Quick Reaction Team, Anti-Terror Unit as well as policemen in plain clothes will take full precautions.

Dinner at Modi’s house

After landing in Delhi this evening, Vladimir Putin will attend dinner at Prime Minister Modi’s house in the night. Many bilateral issues will be discussed during Putin’s visit. In this mainly many important issues like defence, tax and trade will be discussed. Meanwhile, Modi and Putin will also participate in the 23rd India-Russia bilateral relations meeting.
