Pushpa 2 Star Allu Arjun To Appear Virtually Before Court In Sandhya Theatre Stampede Case

Allu Arjun has received summons from the Nampally Court in Hyderabad in connection with the Pushpa 2 stampede case, which claimed the life of a woman during the film’s premiere screening at Sandhya Theatre in December 2024. The actor, named as Accused No. 11, was directed to appear before the court as legal proceedings continue. As per a source close to Times Now, Arjun will attend the hearing virtually. The theatre management has been listed as Accused Nos. 1 to 10. The summons comes months after police filed a chargesheet naming the actor among the accused in the incident.

The Nampally Court has reportedly summoned 19 individuals linked to the case, with a chargesheet already filed against 23 people. The case relates to the December 4, 2024 tragedy during a special screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad, where an overwhelming crowd gathered outside Sandhya Theatre, triggering a deadly stampede and raising serious questions about crowd-control measures.

As per ANI, the actor’s legal team shared, “He will appear virtually before the Nampally Court after the court issued summons requiring him to appear in person today (June 22). Allu Arjun had sought permission citing his ongoing movie shoot in Mumbai”
