Punjabi Actor Tania’s Stepfather Shot Down, Hospitalised In Critical Condition

It seems like Punjabi actors and their families are not safe anymore. A couple of years ago Singer Siddhu Moose Wala was killed, then Parmish Verma was attacked, and now, stepfather of Punjabi actress Tania, Dr. Aniljit Kamboj, has been attacked in Kot Ise Khan of Punjab’s Moga.

As per media reports, two unidentified assaliants came on a bike and targeted Aniljit Kamboj while he was at Harbans Nursing Home. During the attack, one of the assailants suddenly opened fire, leaving Dr. Kamboj seriously injured and requiring immediate hospitalisation.

The news of the attack was confirmed by Punjab Police.

India TV reported quoted SSP Ajay Gandhi saying that the attackers entered under the guise of seeking treatment but had malicious intentions. The police have gathered some crucial leads and are hopeful about apprehending the culprits soon. Meanwhile, security has been heightened across the region to ensure safety and thorough investigation.

Dr. Kamboj was in his clinic when two young men entered on Friday afternoon pretending to need medical attention. While conversing about medicine, one unexpectedly drew a pistol and began shooting. Dr. Kamboj sustained injuries to his chest and hand before being rushed to a private hospital in Moga city.
