Bharatiya Janata Party National President J.P. On behalf of Nadda, a directive this evening appointed Ashwini Sharma as the executive president of Punjab BJP, but Punjab BJP in a hurry removed Sunil Jakhar from the post of state president.
A post was put on the Facebook page of Punjab BJP, in which J.P. A letter related to Nadda’s instructions was issued and it was written in the post that MLA from Pathankot Ashwini Sharma was very much congratulated to the leaders of the entire party for being elected state president of Punjab BJP. It was also written that BJP will work strongly under the leadership of Ashwini Sharma. Surprisingly, the letter issued by the central leadership has not mentioned that Ashwini Sharma has been made the state president anywhere. Sunil Jakhar is still as state president, but Punjab BJP is probably so stricken with Sunil Jakhar that it changed the head in a hurry.
When the team running the social media page of Punjab BJP realized their mistake, it immediately edited the post and updated this message. Punjab Kesari also has a screen shot of this post of BJP, in which the party claimed to be appointed Ashwini Sharma as the head. Many BJP leaders also showed a lot of speed on social media and congratulated Ashwini Sharma on becoming the state president. But these BJP leaders have probably forgotten that there is a difference between the president and executive president of the party. Many such leaders are becoming a joke of social media as well as BJP leaders. Apart from this, some newbie portals also declared Ashwini Sharma as head, who became a mockery of common people.
