Needless to add, Amitabh Bachchan is back to host the new season of this game show. Days after KBC 17 was confirmed, proud son Abhishek Bachchan gave a major shoutout to his father on social media. The actor referred to his dad as the ‘boss‘, who is back with the new Kaun Banega Crorepati season.

For the unversed, Kaun Banega Crorepati recently completed 25 years since its first episode aired. Hosted by the legendary actor, KBC’s first season premiered on July 3, 2000. Marking a milestone year of his game show, Big B shared a heartfelt note on the gram.
“Today 3rd July , 2025 , as I work on this years season KBC prep, I am told by the KBC team – 3rd July 2000, the first broadcast of KBC happened .. 25 years , the life of KBC !,” he penned.

Meanwhile, the makers of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 have confirmed that the game show will premiere on August 11, 2025. The fresh episodes of Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show will air from Monday to Friday at 9pm on Sony Entertainment Television. Audiences will have an option to stream the episodes on SonyLIV.
