9 leopards brought from Botswana were released in Kuno National Park in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav called it a big success of ‘Project Cheetah’ and said that due to this the state is getting global recognition as ‘Cheetah State’.

Bhopal. Expressing happiness, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that 9 leopards (6 females and 3 males) brought from Botswana were successfully released in Kuno National Park, Sheopur on Saturday. He said that he himself wanted to witness this historic and glorious moment, but could not attend the program due to his commitments related to development works and public welfare schemes of the state, being in New Delhi.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that ‘Project Cheetah’ started under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving global recognition to Madhya Pradesh as ‘Cheetah State’. He expressed gratitude to Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav, in whose presence the leopards were successfully released in Kuno. The Chief Minister said that this initiative is a matter of pride not only for the state but for the entire country.
