A Korean influencer has shared a disturbing story of how he was cheated. The creator, Walter K, posted the video on Instagram with a long caption, detailing how what started as a friendship in Delhi soon turned into a terrifying experience.
Walter, who visited India in September, wrote in the caption of the post that he has always seen this country from a positive perspective and has met “good people” throughout his journey. But his last evening turned out to be very disappointing. After taking an auto rickshaw, the driver asked for ₹3,800 – which was exorbitant. He then encountered a man claiming to be a professor, who then pressured him for money. “I lost about $100,” he wrote. He further told that he had to struggle for about an hour, after which some local friends intervened and helped him get out safely.
In the video, the elderly passenger is seen talking to them in a friendly manner, saying, “I will take you around Old Delhi, and when I come to Korea, you take me around.” Walter believed this proposal and agreed. However, during the entire trip, the man made Walter recover every expense. Initially, he offered to share the expenses, but later backed out, saying that if he spent the money, his wife would “kill him”.
In the caption, Walter described the experience as “scary and sad”, especially after making such memories in Old Delhi. “There are both good and bad people everywhere,” he said. The kindness he experienced during his journey was much more than this meeting. He wrote, “Despite this bad memory, I will remember India as a good country.”
