Priyanka also gave some updates on her upcoming projects, including SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi and her Hollywood thriller Reset with Orlando Bloom. The Citadel star shared that when she got into the film industry, it was very niche. She faced a few challenges along the way, as she didn’t have connections in the industry. Priyanka shared that earlier if you wanted to get into filmmaking, you had to figure out which department to go into.
Now, the times have changed. According to a report in Variety, the actress stated that ideas have become currency and it was a wonderful time to be an entertainer. She cited the new horror blockbuster for breaking barriers and shared, “I feel like if you have an idea, shoot it, put it on YouTube, and it can become Obsession, the movie that just came out.”

Speaking about Varanasi, Priyanka said the Telugu film directed by SS Rajamouli will be dubbed in nearly 200 languages. The ambitious movie, co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is releasing in April 2027. The actress praised Rajamouli as she shared that the filmmaker has complete control on set. She added, “You just come as an actor in with the weight of your character, which is also really freeing as you’re not thinking about the things you would as a producer.”

For her survival thriller with Bloom, the English film directed by Matt Smukler is going to start filming in August 2026. Priyanka is also co-producing the feature under Purple Pebble Pictures and said that she and Bloom had wanted to work together for years and then Reset came along.
