Private jobs shock, now not 9 12 hours work; The government of this state takes a big decision

The Maharashtra government has decided to extend the working hours for private sector employees. The government of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has approved the maximum hour of working of employees from 9 to 10 hours by changing the rules. Along with this, there is a plan to gradually increase the limit limit to 12 hours. This change will be applicable in private companies.

What would be meant to grow working hours?

According to this new rule, now private sector employees will have to work for 10 hours instead of 9 hours daily. Gradually it will be increased to 12 hours. Apart from this, the time to rest will also be available after 6 hours instead of 5 hours. Also, the limit of overtime has also been increased. Earlier this limit was 115 hours per quarter, now it has been increased to 144 hours. However, written consent of employees will be necessary for overtime.

Employees worry: Family and Mental Health

Many young and employed people of Mumbai are worried about this decision. They believe that if the hours of work increase so much, they will not be able to give time to their family. Working for 12 hours daily is not good for mental health. This can increase stress and can also affect the health of those who work. Questions are also being raised about getting overtime money whether the company will pay it fully or not.

Mazdoor Sangh demands better allowances

Abhijeet Rane, president of Dhadak Kamgar Union, who works for Mumbai’s labor and employees, has reacted to the government’s decision. They say that if the employees will have to work for a long time, then additional allowances and better facilities should also be ensured for them. He said that he will talk to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on this issue so that the interests of the employees can also be taken care of. He also demanded the government to encourage employment safety and startup companies.
