President of India’s address: The country is going to celebrate 79th Independence Day. On the eve of Independence Day, President Draupadi Murmu addressed the country. While congratulating the countrymen on Independence Day on the eve, President Murmu said that our constitution and our democracy are paramount for us. India-land has been the land of the oldest republics in the world. It is also called the mother of democracy. The building of our democracy has been built on the foundation stone of the constitution adopted by us. We created democracy -based institutions that strengthened democratic working style.

President Draupadi Murmu said that India responded through Operation Sindoor with a determination and decisiveness of the cowardly and inhuman attack in Pahalgam, which showed that our forces could face any situation in terms of national security.

15 August inscribed in our collective memory

President Murmu said that August 15 is inscribed in our collective memory. During the long years of colonial rule, many generations of Indians dreamed of Independence Day. Men and women of all parts of the country, old and young, were craving to break the bond of foreign rule. There was strong optimism in his struggle, which has given impetus to our progress since independence. We gave equal franchise in different classes

Emphasizing reverence for strong democratic institutions and constitution of India, President Murmu said that in a democratic system, we did not discriminate between different classes, ensuring the right to vote. Our constitution contains four values as four pillars that maintain our democracy. These are – justice, freedom, equality and fraternity. These are our civilized principles that we re -discovered during the freedom struggle. I believe that all of them have a sense of human dignity at the core. He said that every human being is equal and everyone should be treated respectfully. Everyone should have equal access to healthcare and education. Everyone should get equal opportunities. Those who have been traditionally deprived need help. Keeping these principles paramount, we started a new journey in 1947.

Inflation under control, export increased

The President said that inflation is under control in the country and exports are increasing. All major indicators are showing the Indian economy in good position. He also emphasized India’s progress towards self -sufficiency. He said that Mahatma Gandhi strengthened the indigenous attitude to promote domestic products. The indigenous approach is inspiring Make in India and ‘Self -reliant India’ campaigns. We have to resolve to buy and consume domestic products.
