Second phase of construction of Orchha Shriram Raja Lok started, religious and tourist center will be built with 332 crore development works. Will this give global recognition to the state? Know the plans of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Development: Orchha is now entering a new phase. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed bhumi pujan and inaugurated development works worth more than Rs 332.85 crore here. Under this project, the second phase of Shri Ram Raja Lok is being prepared. This will not only strengthen religious faith but will also make Orchha a major center for domestic and foreign tourism.
Due to the historical connection of Orchha and Ayodhya, the legacy of Bundela rulers and the grace of Lord Shri Ram, this place is now going to become a grand religious and cultural place. The Chief Minister said that the people of Orchha are very fortunate because they will get the blessing of visiting Shri Ram Raja Darbar every day.
Second phase of Shri Ram Raja Lok: What will be the new experience?
The second phase of Shri Ram Raja Lok includes new temple complex, grand avenues and facilities. The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan amidst chanting of Vedic mantras and inspected the construction works. In the first phase, various construction works worth about Rs 130 crore have been completed. The foundation stone of the second phase of works costing Rs 125 crore is being laid. This project will also conserve the historical monuments of Orchha. Domestic and foreign tourists will now be able to come to Orchha and enjoy a grand experience. Tourist Experience Centre, Hunarshala and Entry Plaza are also being built in this scheme.
What will change in Niwari? Will water reach every house?
Niwari has now become the second district in the state, where tap water will reach every house. The people of the district will benefit from the Nawadi Ken-Betwa project. The Chief Minister said that this project will improve the basic facilities and rural life of the district. Not only water, but Niwari will also soon get the status of Municipal Council. Apart from this, the plan of airstrip and helicopter service will make Orchha more attractive for religious tourism.
Will Orchha become a world tourism centre?
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Orchha is now moving towards becoming a global tourist destination. Tourist Experience Centre, Entry Plaza and Yatra Path will be developed under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0 of the Ministry of Tourism. Orchha has been given UNESCO’s HUL. (Historical Urban Landscape) initiative. The government has recommended recognizing it as a World Heritage in 2027-28. Construction of 18 types of people is going on in the state, of which Orchha is prominent. This project will develop both religious tourism and economy.
Will employment and industry also increase?
Niwari is also progressing in industrial development. Integrated steel plant is being established in 300 hectares at a cost of Rs 3200 crore in Prithvipur. This will provide new employment opportunities to the youth of the district. Along with this, new roads, modern bus stand, new government college and Sandipani school are being built in the area. The homestays run by women in Ladpur Khas and Radhapur have been ranked first and second in the state. This year a dozen new homestays will be started in Chandpura and Jamunian.
Will the religious economy of Orchha become stronger?
Construction of Shri Ram Raja Lok will create religious and tourism based economy in Orchha. Businesses, hotels and local shops in the area will also benefit from the arrival of devotees and tourists. The railway station has also been inaugurated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Apart from this, Deendayal Rasoi Yojana is implemented in six religious towns of the state, where devotees get food for just Rs 5. The Chief Minister said that the basic facilities, beautification of religious places and tourism arrangements in Orchha will be so strong that it will become a major center of religious and tourism in the state.
What is the Chief Minister’s plan?

- Facility of providing tap water to every house in Niwari.
