Premanand Maharaj told that it is right to do Kshaur Karma, i.e. getting hair cut, shaving or other related work only two days a week. According to him, the person who gets these works done without seeing the right day, has to suffer loss.

There are some rules for every day

Premanand Maharaj told that some rules or the other for every day of the week have been mentioned in our religious scriptures and Puranas. He told that Sunday is considered the day of Sun God in the scriptures. That means this day has been dedicated to Sun God. Sun God is considered to be the cause of brightness, energy, intelligence and prestige. In such a situation, hair or beard should not be cut on this day. Cutting hair or beard on this day can lead to adverse financial situation.

Maharaj told that Monday has been dedicated to Lord Shiva. Even on this day, performing Kshaur Karma is considered prohibited. Cutting hair or beard on this day reduces the blessings of Lord Shiva. Uneasiness increases in the mind. Kshaura karma should not be performed even on Tuesday and Saturday. Both these days are associated with Hanuman ji and Shani Dev. Thursday is Guru’s day. One should not shave hair on this day also.

This day is auspicious for cutting hair and beard.

According to Premanand Maharaj, Wednesday is the day of planet Mercury. Mercury is the factor of intelligence, speech, business, tact and good fortune. Cutting hair or beard on this day increases a person’s efficiency. Economic opportunities increase. This day is also considered to enhance beauty and attractiveness, hence getting hair and beard cut is considered very auspicious. Friday is the day of planet Venus.

Venus is considered to be the factor of beauty, love, attraction, art, luxury and luck. For this reason, it is very auspicious to get hair and beard cut on Friday also.
