Premanand Maharaj: Life and death both are big truths of this world. Life and death, apart from being true, are also such mysteries which no one has been able to understand till date. Every person remains connected to his loved ones. In such a situation, this question definitely comes to mind whether the relationship remains even after death? Does the soul remember its family, its identity and feelings?
A woman asked a similar question to Premanand Maharaj. He asked Maharaj ji whether after death the relationship with the family members remains or does it break completely? Premanand Maharaj gave a simple answer to this question and said that death breaks all relations. Death is a situation which causes more oblivion than deep sleep. A person does not remember anything during deep sleep.
No memory remains after death – Premanand Maharaj
Premanand Maharaj said that similarly, even after death, no memory remains. He further said that in deep sleep a person sees some dreams due to his sanskars, but in deep sleep he does not remember anything. Death is considered to be an even deeper state, where all types of memories end. The child remains in the mother’s womb for nine months, but after coming out, he does not remember anything.
The soul carries with itself the effects of the deeds
Similarly, even after death, a person loses all worldly attachments. Neither family, nor wife-son, nor property, nor bank balance, nor position-prestige, everything ends with death. Only the effects of its deeds travel with the soul. All other relationships and identities come to an end. Relationships start after a person comes into the world.
Premanand Maharaj told that the basis of relationships is body and circumstances. As soon as a person’s body ends, the bonds of relationships also end.
