Long distance and additional fare due to diversion

Effect on traffic, partial facility to light vehicles
Thousands of passengers and vehicles have to adopt an alternative route every day due to the closure of the bridge. A lane on the bridge for bikes and lighter vehicles is indiscriminately open, but heavy vehicles have to fix a long route due to diversion, causing time and fuel consumption.

The Phaphamau Bridge was built on the Ganges River in 1988 and is a major route to the movement of vehicles in Prayagraj and surrounding areas. Broken jokes increased the possibility of accident
The volumes were broken at 8 places on the bridge, threatening the safety of heavy vehicles and passengers. There was a possibility of major accidents due to non -repair in time. The PWD immediately started repair work and ensuring security as well as strengthening the structure of the bridge.
Preparation of PWD and district administration
The PWD has taken permission from the district administration to close the bridge for 15 days. The administration has designed alternative routes and strategized for traffic control. The scheme includes provision for individual routes for roadways buses and heavy vehicles, deployment of traffic staff and hints on the route.
Measures to handle traffic pressure on alternative routes
The district administration and police have created separate routes for roadways buses, trucks and private vehicles to reduce traffic pressure on alternative routes during diversion. Apart from this, arrangements have been made to give timely information to passengers by installing mobile traffic updates and warning boards.
Target to complete repair by 25 September
The PWD and the district administration have prepared a battle -level plan to complete the repair work in the scheduled time. By 25 September all the jokes will be replaced and the bridge will be opened in general, which will make the traffic smooth and end the discomfort from diversion.
