The Indian cricket team has announced key squad changes ahead of its upcoming white-ball fixtures against the West Indies, with pace spearhead Prasidh Krishna sidelined and an all-rounder reshuffle for the T20I series.

Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been officially ruled out of the third and final One Day International against West Indies due to a left hamstring injury sustained during the second ODI in Guwahati on Wednesday, September 30.

According to a media advisory released today, October 1, 2026, the Men’s Selection Committee has named young pacer Anshul Kamboj as Prasidh’s replacement for the concluding ODI. Kamboj, who was previously part of the India A squad, has joined the team in Chandigarh. The team will look to maintain its winning momentum, having already secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.

T20I Squad Sees Naman Dhir Replace Washington Sundar

In a related development, all-rounder Naman Dhir has been brought into the India T20I squad for the five-match series against the West Indies, replacing Washington Sundar. Sundar was withdrawn from the T20I squad to prepare for an upcoming Test series by playing in the Ranji Trophy, which commences on October 11. Dhir had earlier made his ODI debut in the first match of the current series against West Indies, filling a similar void created by Sundar’s absence from the ODI squad due to his Asian Games commitments.

Upcoming Fixtures For India vs West Indies Series

The third and final ODI between India and West Indies is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, with the match commencing at 2:00 PM IST.

Following the ODI series, India will engage in a five-match T20I series against the West Indies. The first T20I is set to take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, with a start time of 7:00 PM IST. The subsequent T20Is will be played in Ranchi (October 9), Indore (October 11), Hyderabad (October 14), and Bengaluru (October 17), with all matches starting at 7:00 PM IST. The series will run until October 17.
