Stand-up comedian Pranit More landed in a major controversy after an audience member made a derogatory remark about a woman during his show. Himanshu Jangra, who was an audience member, made an objectionable remark about expecting s*xual favour from his date. Following a massive backlash on social media, Pranit apologised through a video message. Months after this row, the stand-up comedian did his first live show. A clip that is going viral online features Pranit becoming emotional while speaking to the audience. He further thanked those who supported him.
Pranit More gets emotional in first live show
An X (formerly Twitter) user shared a video of ‘s live performance, claiming that it happened on June 14 in Georgia. In the video, the Bigg Boss 19 contestant thanked the audience for standing by his side during the difficult phase of his life. While addressing the audience, the stand-up comedian said in Hindi, “When I came on stage, I wondered if these people would accept me. I felt really good that you all were so supportive, even after everything that happened.”
After he expressed gratitude, audience members applauded him, said ‘Jai Maharashtra’, and stated that they love him. Reflecting on his journey, Pranit mentioned that he didn’t start doing stand-up comedy for money or to get famous. He used to do a job and got into this space as it brought him joy. The BB 19 contestant always wanted to bring joy to others as well.
As he continued to adress his audience, Pranit recalled his mother’s advice during the tough phase of his life. The stand-up comedian’s mother told him that he had already apologised for the mistake he made. However, he wondered if people wouldn’t like his acts anymore. Sharing what his mother mentioned, he added, “Mom said, ‘Everyone makes mistakes’. Is there anyone among you who has never made a mistake? Then I won’t do this, brother.”
