Pradosh fast will be observed on Thursday, January 1. On this day, the person fasting has to remain without eating or drinking anything throughout the day. If it is not possible to do so, you can take fruits or milk.
– Do not speak ill of anyone throughout the day, do not get angry etc. Even by doing this one does not get the full results of the fast. Before the auspicious time mentioned above, make complete preparations for the puja and collect the puja materials.
– When the auspicious time starts, offer water to Shivling and then anoint it with cow’s milk. Once again offer water to Shivling. Light a lamp of pure ghee. While worshiping, keep chanting Om Namah Shivay.
– Offer Bilva Patra, Dhatura, Datika flowers, Janeu, Roli, Abeer etc. things one by one on Shivling. After worshiping in this way, offer food to Mahadev and perform Aarti as per the rituals.
– Eat satvik food after puja. By observing Pradosh fast, Mahadev fulfills every wish of his devotees. Due to the auspicious effect of this fast, the troubles in life are automatically averted.
